Janelle Morrison was training as a professional Ironman distance triathlete when she was in a life altering car accident.
She woke up from a coma a week later and surgeons told her she’d never race again – maybe never walk again. Fast forward to less than 2 years later she raced at Ironman Canada in the professional division and came in 3rd place. The reality is all the pressure and expectation she’d put on herself to accomplish this goal had burnt her out. She knew she had a second chance and didn’t want to do the same thing she’d done for the first 33 years of her life!
